Before becoming a national spearfishing and free dive champion, Patagonia brand ambassador, and culinary trained chef, Kimi Werner grew up unlike many others in our modern world. Her childhood is what you may envision as the tropical version of Laura Ingalls Wilder’s Little House on the Prairie.

I had the privilege of profiling Werner’s her early life and how her love for the ocean inspired a mission of creating a global community rooted in sustainability.
